DANIEL MORI

Daniel Mori is currently a eighth grader and a student of Irina Morozova at the Special Music School.

 

He began his piano studies when he was five years old. He was first place in the 14th New York Music Competition in 2012 and performed at Weill Recital Hall in Carnegie Hall. He also appeared at a Gala concert for the Kaufman Center and the Benefit concert for the Speyer Legacy School with Vladimir Feltsman at the Merkin Concert Hall in 2012.

 

He received the first prize of IV Chopin International Piano Competition for the Junior division in Hartford, CT in 2013, as the youngest participant. He also received Second Prize, Junior 1 Division and Steinway & Sons award for Best Performance of Romantic piece at the Kaufman Music Center International Youth Piano Competition in 2013.

 

He won the first prize of 16th New York Music Competition and played at the Weill recital hall in 2014 and the youngest winner of  the junior category of National Young Virtuosi Recital Competition.

 

He received the first prize of VI Chopin International Piano Competition in Hartford, CT in 2015. He also received 2014-2016 David Froehlich Music Enrichment Award.

 

He recently received the first prize of 2016 Classical Competition at Greater Princeton Steinway Society. He will perform at the Scholarship Musicale at 3pm on May 1, 2016 at Jacobs Music in Lawrenceville, NJ .
